08/31/2012 - With day one of EZOO wrapping up too early for all New Yorkers, the true ravers headed to Pacha NYC to party on until the break of day. As I arrived to Pacha, I was greeted by it's big, bright, cherry mascot who was a new addition to the nightlife establishment. He brought entertainment and excitement to those patiently waiting in line, moments away from experiencing one of the supreme after parties in all of New York City. Gina Turner's opening set raised the bar for headlining acts, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano. GT's performance included numerous IDs and some of the most groovy, urban, tech house Pacha has ever been graced with before. She also brought along fiancee and other half of Nouveau Yorican, Laidback Luke, after his monumental performance at Electric Zoo. I was highly anticipating a taste of Nouveau Yorican, but I suppose I will have to wait for next time… If I am lucky!
All of the instruments and effects in SJ&RM's productions are of such high quality, that their transitions during their set were so flawless the average consumer could not decipher individual tracks. After 12 straight hours at Electric Zoo you would imagine most people would be too burnt out to continue partying afterwards but the party seemed like there was no end in sight. Leave it to New York to host the best Labor Day Weekend soiree on this planet. Turnt up.
