Adrian Lux @ Pacha NYC [EVENT REVIEW]

07/06/2012 - Adrian Lux stepped onto the scene way back in 2010 where his "Teenage Crime" anthem quickly caught the attention of mogul Axwell and later on lead to one of the best remixes in the EDM Hall of Fame. Adrian played an amazing feel good set at Pacha NYC and catered to his US club-goers with vocals galore. Everyone knows America loves vocals. Pacha NYC cranked their AC and blasted their fans so all their patrons would feel good while raging to Adrian Lux's massive set. Nothing new for Adrian, every single creation he has truly is top tier and his performances are one of a kind, sipping on champagne while tearing Pacha NYC a new one. Adrian played hits from all sorts of artists and his very one productions including tracks like The Night Out, Feel So Close, Burning, In My Mind, Greyhound, and Atom. I want to shed some light on an especially cool song "Angels" (Original Mix) by Adrian Lux on Ultra Records which was released in April 2012. Amazing song.

Benny Benassi & Friends @ Governors Island [EVENT REVIEW]

06/09/2012 - One of the best features summer has to offer is how long it stays bright out and how much more you enjoy yourself at a day party. Like clockwork, Benny Benassi & Friends made their way to Governors Island for what looks like an up and coming NYC summer tradition. I arrived on the island in the mists of Bingo Players dropping their legendary "Rattle" and of course, like any other concert goer… made a beeline to center stage! With a slight overcast throughout the day it prevented the venue from overheating along with a magnificent sunset and beautiful illuminated view of Manhattan's skyline. Bingo Players did their thing warming up the decks for colleague Hardwell like true champions with a plethora of their own bangers.

Hardwell took to the stage at what most people would consider the epitome of a sundown set. With the entire establishment already in party mode from Bingo Players amazing performance, Hardwell kicked it into gear and raised the roof. The entire tent was bathing in sunlight rocking to an unorthodox versatile set Hardwell is known for. Keeping ragers on their toes the entire time and featuring my man, Yeezy, in a fresh new bootleg.

Finally, the overlord of EDM; Benny Benassi took to his throne. With the crowd roaring out of control before he even powers up his CDJs… Benny throws his hands up in the air to pump up the party and gets right to work. Bass… and lots of it. I've seen Benny Benassi three times this year and not once has his set been even slightly similar to what he gave the crowd last Saturday. Switching it up with all different sorts of mixes and edits flowing Laidback Luke edits into Skrillex edits along with unreleased material and loads of great selections… with Benny displaying his signature happy as can be smile the entire time. The man clearly loves what he does and thats a huge reason why he is so successful. It's not work if you love doing it. These great artists really did bring the soiree to Governors Island and started my summer off amazing with this beach party. And to top it off… they were serving an ill choice of beer; Magic Hat. 10 out of 10.

Nervo @ Pacha 11/24/2011 #2

Here is a video back from Thanksgiving @ Pacha that I just got around to uploading. Nervo with Chuckie spinning 'Feel So Close' by Calvin Harris and finish it off with their single 'We're All No One' by Nervo featuring Afrojack & Steve Aoki.

Thanksgiving W/ Chuckie & Nervo

I entered Pacha NYC around midnight while Nervo was bumping Mr. Brightside (Marco V Treatment) by The Killers, one of the plenty bangers Nervo dropped that night along with 'La Tromba' by Chris Lake & Lys, 'Tung' by Deniz Koyu, 'Epic' by Sandro Silva & Quintino, 'Feel So Close' by Calvin Harris, 'Advanced' (Tiesto Remix) by Marcel Woods, 'You've Got The Love' (Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike VS Yves V Mix) by Florence and The Machine, and finally  'We're All No One' by none other than Nervo themselves featuring Afrojack & Steve Aoki, which is when DJ Chuckie took hold of the 1's and 2's. Their setlist was phenomenal which just goes to show you that Liv and Mim can throw down just as hard as any other DJ's I know of.

Nervo also dropped their new single 'Army' by Nervo featuring Omarion, keep an eye out for that.

"DJ CHUCKIE'S IN THE HOUSE.

NERVO'S IN THE HOUSE.

MAX VANGELI'S IN THE HOUSE.

AN21'S IN THE HOUSE."

Roared over the speakers throughout the night, Chuckie and friends were running this shit and announcing it to the crowd. The amount of tracks Chuckie's set consisted of was innumerable, ranging from hip hop to the dirtiest of DIRTY DUTCH. I was baffled with his disc jockeying techniques: swapped drops, vocal mixes, bootlegs, dirty cuts, straight burning it down, you name it and Chuckie did it. The above video proves exactly what I am telling you, if you are not familiar with 'Who Is Ready to Jump' by Chuckie, you better get familiar. The mix he put together was especially amazing for this track, throwing in some 'Jump Around' by Cypress Hill along with 'Jump Jump' by Busta Rhymes, MENTAL.
