End of Time dBerrie Remix [DOWNLOAD]

David Berrie enables his remix of Beyonce's "End of Time" for download via dBerrie's Soundcloud. I found the preview about 3 months ago flipping through dBerrie's Soundcloud. An abundance of cool big room nukes have been dropping from dBerrie lately. I really like dBerrie's remix to Gotye's "Somebody That I Used To Know". Also, David Berrie has released a preview of an original production called "Future Bot" today. The drop goes mad hard. Check it.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW & INFO: Bounce Music Festival

Bounce Music Festival features a wide variety of electronic music artists over the entire month of March 2012. Delving into a lot of dance music subgenres, it's refreshing to see certain artists that you might not find on an ordinary club night; all featured in one festival. Spring break and great weather is always a plus and there's no reason why this won't be a widely talked about event for people to check out while on vacation in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

The first stage of the line up consists Paul Oakenfold, Savoy, Morgan Page, Arty, Tim Mason, Bingo Players, Swanky Tunes, David Puentez, David Berrie, David Dann, The Chainsmokers, and Jus Jack. Starting on February 24th all the way through April 1st, various DJs will be playing selected weeks throughout the core of spring break.

Head over to their website here for tickets and trip info. Having booked major artists like Avicii in past events, it's apparent Bounce is looking to take their events to the next level.

Check out my Q&A I tag teamed with a close friend of mine at Electronica Oasis, Kevin Cerrato, with co-founders of Bounce Music Festival Brandon Silverstein and Jared Lyons and where they're looking to take their promotional efforts in the future...

RD: Lets start off with some basic info, what is Bounce Music Festival? Who is behind it? Have you guys always had an interest in EDM?

Brandon: Bounce Music Festival is an international touring music festival that creates a unique music experience for fans and we are the guys behind it. We have always had an interest in EDM, but recently we have been non-stop listening to EDM. Part of our job is staying in tune with the music. You have to do your homework. I always catch myself saying, “Who will be the next Avicii.” This era of EDM is so new to the world, it’s amazing to be apart of the growth.

Jared: We are not just your average concert that you may go and see. We bring in side acts and incorporate ideas no one has yet to think about to create the ultimate concert experience. In terms of EDM, its what I live for. People think I’m crazy when I tell them I fall asleep to EDM during flights.

RD: Who runs Bounce Music Festival? How did you guys come about working together? How long have you been planning events?

Brandon: Who Runs Bounce? Well, Jared and I are the Co-Founders. I’d say we have a team of 8 people who work with us. As for planning events we have been partners since we were 16. We used to throw events in New York when we were in High School and we ran a nightclub in the Hamptons fo 2 summers.

Jared: Yeah, our first event was on 39th street and we had 900 people show up. Now, 5 years later we are doing shows with thousands of people. It’s kind of crazy looking back. We didn’t just wake up one day and say we want to create a touring music festival.

RD: What inspired you guys to pursue this project?

Jared: It all started when we had an opportunity to work on a college concert as freshman. Then we thought, why not do it ourselves in a way that no one has seen before. It was all up hill from there.

Brandon: Nightlife got played out for me. This is on another level. The energy is magnified and it’s somewhat addicting to be involved in.

RD: You have a thirty day music festival that takes place in Puerta Vallerta, Mexico. Have you been there before? What made you pick this location?

Jared: We’ve teamed up with Xtreme Trips, the largest college spring break company. They handle all the boring aspects of the trip : hotels, flights for college kids and we handle the experience.

Brandon: Yeah, Xtreme gave us 30 nights, 30 venues, and said do what you want with it. So we did it. Festival packages are almost sold out. Over 1600 packages sold within 3 days of announcing our Phase 1 artists.

RD: Both the line up and the venues present a complete entertainment experience, is this the first time you've done an all inclusive travel + vacation + entertainment package?

Brandon: Yeah this is the first time.

Jared: This is the first time were bringing Bounce out of the country but definitely expect to see more of it in the near future.

RD: A lot of the artists playing at Bounce Music Festival have very distinct sound and/or genre; How did you guys decide on some of the artists performing? What sets can we find you guys at during the festival?

Jared: If you’re an EDM fanatic like myself, you absolutely have got to love our lineup. Instead of taking your standard lineup of mainstream DJ’s and creating a festival out of it, we went out and pulled some of the best upcoming and veteran EDM artists out there.

Brandon: Agreed. Look out for Bingo Players, Arty, and Swanky Tunes and a few more that we haven’t announced yet. They are EDMS future. We built our bill off of what college kids want. When you are at a pregame you don’t run over to the laptop or iPod that’s plugged into the speaker and put on something that’s mainstream or played out. Tracks that we hear at pregames are something like Rattle by Bingo Players or Sending my Love by Swanky Tunes.

RD: You've already had popular performers like Avicii headline your festival, any artists you're looking forward to working with in the future?

Brandon: There are a lot. We have been in contact with the biggest names in the industry, but as I mentioned before, it’s the new artists we haven’t even heard about yet that excite me.

Jared: Yes. The entire industry

RD: Any other noteworthy festivals going on in 2012?

Brandon: Yes, A lot. Stay Tuned!

I would like to thank Brandon & Jared for taking the time out of their schedule to answer these questions for us.

Exclusive Interview: David Berrie

A man like David Berrie needs no introduction, from remixing the sickest tracks in your iTunes library to producing the biggest house anthems your ears have ever had the pleasure to hear. He's 24,  creative, ambitious, and has been tearing your favorite clubs down since he was 16.  I would like to thank David Berrie for taking the time out of his schedule to answer these questions for us.

RD: I know you grew up in New Jersey, very close to New York, is there a

favorite club in New York you like to throw down at?

DB: Today, it's Good Units in the basement of the Hudson Hotel. Back when I was growing up my favorite spot was APT on 13th Street.

RD: You hold residencies at a couple of clubs (Liv Miami, Pacha NY, Playhouse LA) which one is most appealing to you and why?

DB: I love Pacha NY because that venue is strictly about the music.

RD: On November 26th you spun at Santos Party House for Electric Beach, how was that? What can you say about Zaken?

DB: Zaken did a great job opening up which led to a great party overall. That party has been getting better and better.

RD: Is there a city you would like to play in that you haven’t gotten the chance to already?

DB: Berlin/Brazil!

RD: What role has music played in your life and how has it shaped your daily routine?

DB: It's my breakfest lunch and dinner to put it short. And for better or worst has always been the focus around my life.

RD: Do your passions or motivations ever become overwhelming? How do you cope with it? What do you do on your spare time?

DB: Good question. Passion and motivations can and do most definitely become overwhelming. Especially when your in the studio, you could completely detach yourself from normal life/hours. I can most definitely say if your ever considering about becoming a serious producer first sacrifice you need to give up is your social life!

RD: What is biggest source of motivation towards achieving your goals?

DB: Biggest motivation is seeing people react and enjoy something you made completely on your own. It's addicting.

RD: When and why did you start producing?

DB: I started about 3 years ago and I did it to be able to express what I really love, outside what you can do in a DJ set.

RD: You’ve had releases on Ultra Records and Nervous Records, any productions we should keep an eye out for?

DB: Yes, this December have another release on Ultra and Nervous Records. As well as some underground tech house releases with one of my favorite labels at the moment, Monique Musique.

RD: What kind of equipment (hardware/software) do you use to produce?

DB: I use Ableton Live with a lot of third party plugins and no hardware at the moment. I have hardware but it's such a pain and I always find myself getting the placebo effect when I use it.

RD: Who is your favorite artist that you have already collaborated with?

DB: Dzeko and Torres are ones to watch out for from Toronto. It's fun to video chat and pickup weird Canadian slang lol.

RD: If you could collaborate with any artist who would it be?

DB: There is a million answers to that question, but I’d have to say I’m a huge fan of Martin Buttrich's work. Would love learning some studio techniques from that guy.

RD: How do you continue to be innovative with your productions/collaborations?

DB: Always experimenting and most importantly putting in the time.

RD: Any big collaborations coming out soon?

DB: Have a new single coming out early December on Ultra Records with my buddy Carlos Cid and Collin Mchoughlin on the vocals. Excited for that to come out finally!

RD: I really like your remix of David Guetta’s Titanium, is there a remix we should keep an eye out for?

DB: Thanks! Yes, 2 new remixes done and finished. You can preview on my Soundcloud. Foster The People and Beyonce.

RD: Who are your biggest musical influences?

DB: Cliche to say but true nonetheless, Daft punk. As for today there are too many to list.

RD: I attended Dayglow in New York City at Webster Hall last year, you shut it down! What was your best show of all time?

DB: One of my best/favorite shows of all time had to be Palladium in Acapulco. Still one of my favorite clubs in the world.

RD: I’m sure your excited for all your shows, any upcoming shows in particular that you are looking forward to?

DB: Looking forward to playing at BPM Festival in Playa del Carmen after New years.

RD: What is your favorite track you like to have in your set at the moment?

DB: Right now a big bomb for me is a new untitled track that I did with Dzeko and Torres which I bootlegged with Calvin Harris' 'Feel So Close' acapella. Be sure to stay tuned for that release with an original vocal!

RD: Any advice for upcoming musicians?

DB: Youtube and Google are your best friend. Put in the time and the results will come.

RD: What is the # 1 gift on your holiday list?

DB: 12-core Macpro! I’m on the verge of just going for it.

RD: What is your favorite T-shirt brand?

DB: "Ever" Almost every time they come out with a shirt I buy one, just because it's always a perfect fit and it's super comfortable.

RD: Favorite movies of all time?

DB:  City of God/Heavyweights

RD: I noticed your “Listen” tattoo on your right arm, is that your only one?

DB: Yup!
