Cosmic Opera has been the talk of the town for quite sometime now. Riding the hype of Act I with Axwell's head-lining performance then later leading into Fedde le Grand and Zedd's tag team on Act II. Axwell's performance was booming, an especially perfect pick for the first act of the series. The interludes for Act II were something I had never seen in an EDM show before and mad creative. The fire and the acrobats were a nice touch. Each and every show I go to for Cosmic Opera was better then the last and have us wishing we could just go back. The theatrical theme grows more vast and intricate as well. Now everyone wants to know the who, what, and where for Act III. What does Justin Cohen have in store for his next event? For now we can only flip through our imaginary rolodex of DJs we hope Cosmic Opera brings to town. In the mean time, I had the pleasure to attend a subsidy of Cosmic Opera known as Cosmic Concepts DJ Showcase with Filo & Peri, George Garcia, and David Dann, all upcoming DJ/producers that are taking this city by storm. Filo & Peri executed their performance perfectly with a high energy crowd. Arena has a nice shape to it, a near perfect set up. An amazing showcase with great energy from every DJ. The VIP hovering over the amazing show with a 2 hour open bar and drinks flowing rapidly throughout the VIP long after that. And on top of all of that it was a free event! Bravo. #CosmicCostume
Justin Cohen's Cosmic Opera with Axwell, Thomas Gold, and NO I.D. for Friday, February 24, 2012 sold out INSTANTLY. A ton of die hard fans didn't get the tickets they deserved, so Axwell, being the generous boss he is, booked another show at the same venue for Thursday night. Didn't get the chance to snag a ticket? Have a cheap friend who wouldn't spend the 100 bucks for the time of their life? Don't feel like spending an arm & a leg on Stubhub? Or just plain and simply need an extra ticket? I am giving my own personal ticket away (not a +1 don't get it twisted) for Friday's show. Review the two stipulations and I hope you win! I'll have my boy Cerrato pick the winner tomorrow 12:00 PM Eastern Time. Coolest reason why you should go... WINS.
Axwell was appointed head honcho for Justin Cohen's Cosmic Opera. According to what I read he will be in charge of the turntables, along with choosing the talent that will accompany him. The event will be split into 3 monthly, six hour sets, and take place at Hammerstein Ballroom located in NYC. Keep an eye out for tickets, you don't wanna miss this.
